Mesquite...Uniquely Beautiful
A rich, ruddy colored wood, Mesquite is full of unique features and textures. This unusual hardwood is light brown to dark reddish brown in color, with grain that is high in character with ingrown bark and mineral streaks. The swirling grains adds a visual interest, making it a popular choice for flooring and paneling.
Most commonly used in flooring as end-grain block, which has small irregular cracks radiating across the grain.
It is known for being the most dimesionally stable hardwood, as it is less vulnerable to moisture and shrinkage and the end-grain block usage results in a hard, high-wear surface. This makes it a uniquely beautiful flooring choice for high traffic areas.
